Langtang 1986 : Photos from my trek to Langtang in 1986. This trek started out with a bus trip from Kathmandu to Trisuli and from there with truck to Dunche. Our goal was to reach Kyanjin Gompa. Instead of going back all the way to Dunche we took the trail to Gosaikunda from Syabru. At this pass with an altitude of nearly 5000 m there are several small lakes. The trek was finished at Malemchi Bazaar.

Annapurna 1991 : Photos from my trek Around Annapurna in 1991 The trek around Annapurna 1991 started by bus from Kathmandu to Gorkha and from there by truck to Besisahar. At Chame we entered the rain shadow.One of my strongest impressions from this area was the north face of Annapurna as seen from Pisang.

Everest 1993 : Photos from my trek in Everest region in 1993. Jiri-Kala Pattar. This is the hardest of all my treks, so far. Due to heavy back pack and crossing of several rivers and passes while trekking eastwards from Jiri. Also the high altitudes up at Lobuche and the final goal of Kala Pattar, 5600 m, was strenous.

Everest 1996 : Returning to the Solu-Khumbu region after 3 years. The plan was to walk up in the Gokyo valley for a view of Sagarmatha together with the Gokyo lakes. It however turned out that we were a bit to early in the season. The snow stopped us!

Kathmandu 1986/1 : Photos from my first trip to Nepal in march-april 1986. Kathmandu and surroundings. Kathmandu is situated in a pot at an altitude of 1400 meters surrounded by Himalaya to the north and high green hills, with heights up to several thousand meters, to the south. The towns Patan (Lalitpur) and Bhaktapur lie in the vicinity of the capitol. The city is a blend of different religions, colors and forms.
